Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Chairwoman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, received Carlos Rafael Miranda, Cuba´s National Coordinator of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), which reaffirms the ties of brotherhood between the two nations, reported Prensa Latina (PL) News Agency.
The Vietnamese parliamentary leader said she was delighted by Cuba's economic and social advances despite the US blockade and expressed confidence that the recent reform of the Constitution and the update of the development model will bring new success to the Caribbean island.
Kim Ngan expressed the high appreciation of the Communist Party, the State, Parliament and the people towards relations with Cuba, and said that in these times, as in the past, common friendship is an invaluable treasure that both sides should enrich.
Miranda, on the other hand, advocated a greater link between the institutions and peoples of the two countries and said being extremely pleased by his talks with Tran Thanh Man, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, which as in the case of the CDR in Cuba, it is the largest mass organization in that Asian nation.
On that occasion, Thanh Man also expressed the support of the Vietnamese Communist Party, State and the people to the resistance of the Cubans against the US blockade and their other fighting for the construction of socialism.
