Díaz Canel: The Cuban Revolution would not be Betrayed or Given Away

It was a really historical day the final day of the 8th Congress of the Communist Party (PCC) that was featured by the first secretary of the local Central Committee, the Cuban President of the Republic Miguel Díaz Canel Bermúdez, along with the strength and the symbolism given to the Army General, Raúl Castro Ruz, and the permanent presence of Fidel´s legacy, the unbeaten Commander-in-chief, Fidel Castro.

“The 8th Congress of the Communist Party concluded and I have no doubt in terms of considering it as historic. It is a fact.” Miguel Díaz Canel Bermúdez said.

“The centennial of the local historic hero, which was guided by Raúl and Fidel over six intense decades, can declare proudly that the Socialists Revolution that was made only 90 miles of the mighty empire remains active and firm, and that generation can say much more: The Cuban Revolution does not end with it because that generation achieved creating new generations equally with the ideals of social justice that has cost so much blood caused to the best children of the Cuban nation.” Miguel Díaz Canel Bermúdez pointed out.

 “The Cuban Revolution would not be betrayed or given away as a gift to those ones who pretend keep playing the homeland´s future and this people´s patience has limits.” Miguel Díaz Canel Bermúdez stated regarding the provocations against the Cuban government and the Cuban Revolutionary process.

“Before those emotions and feelings with the current history and the unbeaten leadership of those ones who are currently handing over responsibilities, and the work transferred to our generation is an impossible transcendence to be overlooked.” The first Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba pointed out during his speech.

Díaz Canel talked from the Revolutionary commitment and passion. He talked about all the passages of our history by reflecting through his words the great monument of the Cuban people has fought over 150 years.

“That history can be summed up in two words: people and unity and that is to say the Communist Party because of the Cuban Communist Party had never been an electoral Party, it did not come from a failure, it came from the unity of all the political forces with truly deep humanist ideals which had forged from the fight to change an unequal country, dependent ones of a foreign mighty nation, and under a then local bloody military tyranny.” He said.

Through his vibrant speech, Díaz Canel talked about Raúl Castro´s commitment and resistance, his unity and endurance as a Cuban, guerilla fighter, revolutionary one, husband, friend and a loyal brother.

“The comrade, Raúl Castro, who has prepared and guiding that generational continuity without preferences for posts and responsibly, along with the sense of duty and the historical duty with serenity, maturity, revolutionary strength with altruism and humbleness by their own merit and legitimacy, and Cuba needs it and that would be analyzed about more serious strategic decisions for the nation's fate.” He said.

“Fidel Castro will continue present because he is a reference for any Cuban communist and revolutionary, Raúl, as he is fondly called by our people. He is Fidel Castro´s best disciple, and he has also provided countless values to the Revolutionary ethical, the Partisan work, and the government´s improvement.” He said.

He also recognizes the commitment and dedication of those one who are finishing their work guiding the Communist Party. He thanked the teachings left by the Commandant of the then Rebeld Army, José Ramón Machado Ventura, and the permanent example of the Army general, Raúl Castro Ruz.

“We are placed before history again due to what happened on April 19th during the 8th Communist Party Congress.” The own First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Miguel Díaz Canel, highlighted.

The 60 years from Playa Girón's event´s victory demands from the Cuban Communist militancy to keep defending the Cuban Revolution, along with the inspiring example of its leaders, Fidel and Raúl.
