Bruno Rodr\u00edguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs, has highlighted that nearly half of U.S. citizens disapprove of the blockade on oil shipments to Cuba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Cuban Foreign Minister noted on X that, according to a poll conducted by a U.S. media outlet, 46 percent (%) of that country\u2019s citizens do not support this current government policy, compared to an approval rating of 28%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bruno Rodr\u00edguez asserted that Americans perceive the inhumane and criminal nature of the measure, \u201cunlike their government and the warmongering hawks who administer it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that this policy \u2014 inherited from the Donald Trump administration \u2014 punishes an entire people, violating their right to free self-determination, to development, and to trade freely with other countries, with the aim of subverting the Cuban constitutional order and subjugating the island\u2019s government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The aforementioned poll, conducted by YouGov, shows that regarding the economic, commercial, and financial blockade\u2014which has been in effect for over 60 years\u201440% of Americans disapprove of it, while 32% remain in favor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, the survey indicates that there is broad consensus regarding the maintenance of official diplomatic relations, a stance supported by 61% of respondents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
