Shouting \u201cLong live the Revolution! Down with the blockade!\u201d members of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) community known as \u201cLa Gen\u00e9tica,\u201d located in the Playa municipality, reaffirmed their commitment to continue defending the country by signing a pledge for the homeland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the ceremony, Dr. Dayli Rem\u00f3n del Risco read the declaration of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC), which emphasizes that Cuban women are signing their pledge for peace, drawing on the history they have built.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking on behalf of the women of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC), Rem\u00f3n del Risco stated that their commitment to the Revolution is neither rhetorical nor circumstantial, but rather grounded in the dedication of those who have given their lives for freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She emphasized that, as successors to the legacy of Vilma Esp\u00edn and Mariana Grajales, they will always be prepared to defend the country\u2019s achievements and dignity at any cost, because Cuban women have never backed down in the face of injustice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In an exclusive interview with the Cuban News Agency, Liudis Garc\u00eda Hern\u00e1ndez, a researcher at the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology and secretary of a FMC community group, expressed that, as Cubans, it is necessary to raise their voices in favor of sovereignty, especially now, when imperialism is increasing its hostility toward the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a woman of science, Garc\u00eda Hern\u00e1ndez denounced the negative impact of the US embargo on the island in that field, which, according to her, hinders full scientific development, an essential element for providing a better quality of life for the population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ania Cabrales, a member of the secretariat of a FMC (Federation of Cuban Women) delegation in the neighborhood, told the Cuban News Agency that Cuban women always contribute to the Revolution in any situation and that in the current context, it is necessary to continue doing so for Cuba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She added that signing for the Homeland means supporting a political process that has always protected women\u2019s rights and has seen them as a pillar in the transformation of society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This meeting, which included members of the Federation of Cuban Women and local residents, was led by Teresa Amarelle Bou\u00e9, a member of the Political Bureau and general secretary of the FMC, along with members of this structure at the national, provincial, and municipal levels, among other political and mass organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
