The National Coordinator of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) also referred to the more than 25 violations of Cuban airspace by the terrorist organization Brothers to the Rescue between 1994 and 1996, and denounced that Washington ignored Havana\u2019s warnings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTheir silence was complicity. Their inaction encouraged the terrorists,\u201d he declared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gerardo Hern\u00e1ndez \u2014 one of the Cuban Five who served many years in the prisons of the empire \u2014 described the accusation against the leader of the Revolution, Ra\u00fal Castro, as \u201ca despicable and illegal political provocation\u201d fueled by \u201cthe resentment, frustration, and impotence of those who cannot bear to see Cuba standing tall, free and sovereign.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Hero of the Republic questioned the hypocrisy of the U.S. government: it demands for itself what it denies to others. Its inaction in the face of Cuba\u2019s warnings demonstrates its complicity with terrorism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhen will they try Trump for ordering the murder of more than 200 people in international waters, without presenting any evidence?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFor the United States, the law is a tailor-made suit: tight for the weak, loose for the powerful,\u201d he declared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Cuban people reaffirmed in the Tribune their unwavering commitment to defending the revolution and their absolute support for Army General Ra\u00fal Castro, \u201cwith his courage and character rooted in patriotic tradition,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
