Ghebreyesus clarified that the identified virus corresponds to the Bundibugyo strain, also present in neighboring Uganda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this sense, this critical delivery comes as the DRC Ministry of Health confirmed a rapid increase in Ebola cases, underscoring the escalating nature of the crisis. The immediate deployment of resources is vital for enhancing the country\u2019s response capacity and protecting vulnerable communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the crucial supplies dispatched to both the DRC and Uganda are essential items for containment efforts. These include <strong>personal protective equipment, comprehensive medical kits, emergency tents and various sanitation and hygiene products<\/strong>. Such materials are indispensable for healthcare workers on the front lines and for preventing further transmission within affected populations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Further reinforcing the response, a specialized brigade of<strong> 35 doctors has been deployed <\/strong>to the affected areas. These medical professionals will enhance patient care, provide expert guidance, and coordinate immediate response actions. Their presence is expected to significantly improve the capacity of local health facilities to manage Ebola cases and implement stringent infection control measures, which are paramount in curbing the virus\u2019s spread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To date, six localities across the provinces of Ituri and North Kivu have reported Ebola infections, compelling health authorities to intensify preventive measures. These recommendations are crucial for public safety and include rigorous hand washing with soap and water or using alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
