{"id":11810,"date":"2026-06-22T23:26:57","date_gmt":"2026-06-23T03:26:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.radiorebelde.cu\/english\/?p=11810"},"modified":"2026-06-22T23:26:58","modified_gmt":"2026-06-23T03:26:58","slug":"mexico-works-on-mechanism-for-companies-to-ship-oil-to-cuba","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.radiorebelde.cu\/english\/mexico-works-on-mechanism-for-companies-to-ship-oil-to-cuba-22062026\/","title":{"rendered":"Mexico works on mechanism for companies to ship oil to Cuba"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum stated on Monday that mechanisms are being developed to allow private companies to transport fuel to Cuba, which is under a US energy blockade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are working on it.&nbsp; Primarily through\u2014it hasn\u2019t exactly restarted\u2014but the mechanism would be through private companies that have the permit to ship fuel to Cuba,\u201d she asserted in response to a question about whether oil trade between the two countries had resumed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During her daily press conference, the head of the Executive Branch stated from the National Palace that work on this has been underway for some time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe hope that trade can resume soon.&nbsp; This isn\u2019t a humanitarian issue, but a commercial one,\u201d she clarified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHumanitarian support continues,\u201d she added, \u201c(now it would be) the commercial aspect, which also hasn\u2019t been shut down, but with the new characteristics approved by the Cuban Congress and Government.
