\u201cWe see that, whereas NATO countries previously limited themselves to supporting the Kiev regime, which came to power through an illegal armed coup, they are now openly talking about preparing for war with us and increasing their budgets for military offensives,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe modus operandi of the so-called pseudo-democratic West is very simple: first, they create threats against our country, forcing us to take the necessary measures for self-defense and protection, and immediately afterward they accuse us of every conceivable mortal sin in order to justify their aggressive policies and actions against Russia,\u201d Putin pointed out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Russia Is Always Ready to Protect Its Interests<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nPutin said his country seeks to contribute to global peace by promoting a multipolar system of international relations and guaranteeing the security of every nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nevertheless, in the event of any external or internal threat, Russia is prepared to respond promptly and effectively, he said, emphasizing that his country is modernizing its nuclear triad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the Russian military doctrine, the term \u201cnuclear triad\u201d refers to a three-pronged military force structure that enables the country to deliver nuclear weapons through land-based intercontinental ballistic missiles, submarine-launched ballistic missiles, and strategic bombers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Putin also said his country has worked to significantly improve many types of weapons since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLet me give you one example: last year, more than 1,000 weapons systems and pieces of equipment were tested under combat conditions, including unmanned aerial vehicles with advanced guidance systems, loitering munitions, robotic systems for various purposes and much more,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
