Pelier dominated the final held at the Rinc\u00f3n Dam Rowing and Canoeing Center, stopping the clock at four minutes, nine seconds, and 17 hundredths of a second, a result that allowed him to lead the competition from start to finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mexican Guillermo Quirino Medrano staged a comeback in the second half of the race to take the silver medal with a time of 4:16.02, while Colombian Daniel Pacheco earned the bronze with a time of 4:20.10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
