Poet Antonio Maria Florez to Present His Anthology at the Medellin Book Festival<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\nThe westernmost province hosts this edition dedicated to the writers Jos\u00e9 Ra\u00fal Fraguela and Enrique Giniebra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The fairgrounds are located on Col\u00f3n Street, between M\u00e1ximo G\u00f3mez and Jos\u00e9 Mart\u00ed. A new addition is the Calle Real cultural center, inaugurated to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC), which will be a central hub for the professional program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the centennial celebration of the Commander-in-Chief, the exhibition \u201cIconography of Fidel Castro Ruz in the Visual Arts of Pinar del R\u00edo\u201d and the panel Fidel\u2019s Presence in Pinar del R\u00edo will be presented. The half-century anniversary of the book Rom\u00e1n El\u00e9, by National Literature Prize winner Nersys Felipe, is also being commemorated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regarding the program, Yanetsy Ariste, vice president of the Hermanos Sa\u00edz Association in the region, explained that spaces such as \u201cLiterary Tunes,\u201d \u201cTell Me a Story: The Story Behind the Book,\u201d and \u201cI Bring Your Words\u201d are returning to the House of the Young Creator (in spanish Casa del Joven Creador).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event includes the return of gatherings like \u00a1Como pan caliente! (Like Hotcakes!), hosted by Alberto Peraza Ceballos, and the Poets\u2019 Courtyard (in spanish Patio de los Poetas). The public will enjoy documentaries and films in the Carlos Manuel community center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a distinctive feature, the El Valle rum factory and the Francisco Donati\u00e9n tobacco factory, along with the Ni\u00f1ita Vald\u00e9s tobacco stripping plant, will serve as satellite venues for the Book Fair, decentralizing the cultural offerings in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
