UN Expert Albanese Urges States to Act Against Israeli Occupation of Palestine<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nState Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott justified the decision by arguing that the organizations \u201cform part of transnational far-left terrorist networks\u201d and threaten the national security of the United States and its allies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFar-left terrorism poses a profound threat to the United States and the broader West. Today, the United States sanctioned several transnational far-left terrorist networks, including Autistici\/Inventati \u2013 a major far-left tech collective whose services are used by the most active and violent Antifa cells in the United States and across the world,\u201d Secretary of State Marco Rubio posted on X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere will be no refuge for violent extremists who wage war on our civilization and plot to undermine law and order, destroy critical infrastructure, assault political opponents, or conspire to conceal their crimes from authorities. We will use all the tools and authorities at our disposal to fight terrorism and protect our way of life from terrorist coercion,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Treasury Department maintains that Palestine Action \u201chas supported numerous acts of terrorism since July 2020, including acts that have caused physical injuries to members of British law enforcement, as well as actions intended to intimidate legitimate businesses and coerce\u201d the U.K. government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The OFAC decision complements the declaration by the British government that designated Palestine Action as an illegal terrorist organization in July 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Washington also maintains that the organization Masar Badil operates as a front for the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, which was sanctioned by the United States and Canada in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMasar Badil is inextricably linked to Samidoun and one of its senior leaders has described it as part of the same political project,\u201d the Treasury Department insisted and designated Rawa Alsagheer, based in Brazil, and Zaid Abdulnasser, based in Germany, \u201cfor being leaders or officials\u201d of the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe SDGT designation freezes any and all of the groups\u2019 assets within the U.S., and criminalizes U.S. citizens, banks, and entities doing business or engaging in financial transactions with them, freezing them out of the U.S.-dominated global financial system. Individuals associated with the groups could also face a lifetime ban from entering the U.S.,\u201d the digital outlet Vocal Politics explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today\u2019s sanctions add to similar measures against other left-wing groups and the designation as foreign terrorist organizations of entities linked to the Antifa movement, which has been targeted by U.S. President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
