Cuban Sciences Academy Awards Prize for Regenerative Medicine Research<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nDIPC President Pedro Miguel Etxenike, Director Ricardo D\u00edez, and Science Councilor Juan Ignacio P\u00e9rez presented the event\u2019s program. The main objective is to bring knowledge closer to the public, foster critical thinking, and champion science as an essential part of culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Plenary lectures at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre will feature Nobel laureates in Physics such as Anne L\u2019Huillier, a pioneer in attosecond science; Brian Schmidt, recognized for the discovery of the accelerating expansion of the universe; and Wolfgang Ketterle, who demonstrated Bose-Einstein condensation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nobel laureate in Chemistry Jean-Marie Lehn will also participate, engaging in an interview-style conversation with Etxenike about the values \u200b\u200bof the Enlightenment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Joining this group are mathematician Marcus du Sautoy, who will explore how mathematics shapes artificial intelligence, and writer Siri Hustvedt, winner of the 2019 Princess of Asturias Award for Literature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a new feature, the festival is launching the \u201cNew Voices\u201d (Nuevas Voces) space, which will include dialogues and presentations featuring paleoanthropologist Mar\u00eda Martin\u00f3n-Torres, theoretical physicist Rom\u00e1n Or\u00fas, and science communicator Eduardo S\u00e1enz de Cabez\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Finally, the program will include a day dedicated to reflecting on mental health and well-being within the research community, with special attention paid to the inequalities and challenges women face throughout their scientific careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
