Among them was President Vladimir Putin, who released a video showing the moment when he cast his ballot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Previously, more than 4 million people had signed up to vote remotely. During their first visit to polling stations in Moscow on Friday, they attested to the transparency, security, and effectiveness of the voting process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe electronic voting machine system in Russia is very convenient, because people can cast their ballots quickly and easily,\u201d said Ko Ko Lwin, a member of Myanmar\u2019s election commission who participates as an international observer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Foreign Attempts to Influence the 2026 Elections<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Russian diplomatic missions were ready to ensure security at polling stations abroad, at a time when forces from Western countries are interested in disrupting the Duma elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Russian diplomat denounced that authorities had already detected some attempts to influence the voting process.
