The official stated that Cuba speaks from the heart and from history, and emphasized that the Cuban people remain steadfast, dignified, and principled, quoting Jos\u00e9 Mart\u00ed: \u201cWith the poor of the earth, I wish to cast my lot.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Morales Ojeda noted that the Caribbean nation remains standing with humility, highlighting that a people is measured by its memory and its capacity to move forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his message, he recalled the historical and family ties between Cuba and the United States, affirming: \u201cOur door has never been closed\u201d to the American people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Addressing the Washington government, he stated that Cuba believes in dialogue, in respect between nations, and in building bridges where there was once distance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two brotherly peoples need not be adversaries, he pointed out, concluding with the phrase \u201cCuba, with an outstretched hand,\u201d in reference to the willingness to engage in dialogue and overcome differences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
