Cuba\u2019s Permanent Mission to the United Nations celebrated the 66th anniversary of the founding of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDRs) on Sunday, in an event led by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodr\u00edguez Parrilla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the Mission\u2019s Facebook page, the event highlighted the organization\u2019s history, which is inextricably linked to the defense of social achievements, sovereignty, and national independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The gathering reaffirmed the determination to continue defending Cuba\u2019s right to sovereignly determine its present and future within the multilateral arena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Participants denounced the intensification of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States and its impact on the Cuban population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was emphasized that this commitment would continue to guide the work of revolutionary diplomacy in international forums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
