Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodr\u00edguez denounced on Tuesday that the U.S. Secretary of State has repeated a series of lies in an attempt to justify collective punishment against the island\u2019s people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe is the exponent of an aggressive, repudiated and isolated policy that relies solely on force and intimidation, not on truth or reason,\u201d the Cuban foreign minister warned on his X account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bruno Rodr\u00edguez further noted that this policy of strangulation driven by Washington has been rejected in recent days by dozens of heads of delegation during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio reiterated in an interview with Fox News that Cuba constitutes a \u201cfailed state\u201d and warned that President Donald Trump\u2019s administration would not tolerate the island becoming \u201can operational platform against U.S. national security.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Official sources agreed that these statements are part of a worn-out rhetoric against Havana, aimed at justifying the intensification of the blockade and economic sanctions against the Cuban people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cuban authorities have denounced Rubio\u2019s systematic attempts to blame the island\u2019s government for the ruthless harm caused by the very economic sanctions and blockade imposed by the United States on the people of the largest island of the Antilles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
