Cuban President Miguel D\u00edaz-Canel congratulated his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People\u2019s Republic of China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On his X account, the Cuban leader \u2014 who also serves as First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) \u2014 extended his greetings to the Chinese Party, Government, and people, while expressing gratitude for the Asian giant\u2019s enduring solidarity and cooperation with the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Joining in the congratulations was PCC Organization Secretary Roberto Morales, who described the founding of the Asian nation as a key milestone in modern history and expressed appreciation for China\u2019s support in the face of the blockade imposed by the United States government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For his part, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodr\u00edguez highlighted the extraordinary achievements attained by the sister nation in building socialism, while the Foreign Ministry reiterated the commitment to further deepening the historic ties between the two peoples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The People\u2019s Republic of China was founded on October 1, 1949, a date that marks one of the country\u2019s major national celebrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Amid the celebrations, Xi Jinping stated that the socialist system with Chinese characteristics has demonstrated significant advantages over decades of development, enabling the maintenance of rapid economic growth and long-term social stability for the sake of the general well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
