Emily Puisseaux, an official from the Directorate of Multilateral Political Affairs, stated that Cuba\u2019s victory at the UN is a reflection of the dedication of all Cuban diplomats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking from the island\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Puisseaux noted that she considers it a privilege to witness the outcome of the hard work put in by her professional colleagues \u2014 especially \u201cin a year that has been so difficult and complex for our people.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe victory we achieved at the United Nations is a reflection of the dedication and sacrifice of our diplomats, not only in New York but all around the world,\u201d she asserted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She further emphasized that this also serves as recognition of the firm stance taken by the majority of nations in the face of pressure and blackmail from the \u201cempire\u201d \u2014 a fact that underscores the twofold significance of this victory for Cuba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn a context marked by such uncertainty, we have demonstrated the dignity and steadfastness of Cuban revolutionary diplomacy,\u201d the official stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The diplomat noted that the coming months will be challenging for the Cuban people, particularly in terms of maintaining \u2014 as the island advocates \u2014 relations rooted in dialogue and cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She also affirmed that whatever has occurred, or may yet occur, in relation to the United States government will not intimidate the diplomacy of the Caribbean nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe will remain faithful to the principles we uphold and consistent with the position we have maintained,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
