Pope Francis is since Wednesday admitted to the Gemelli Roman hospital for respiratory infection, as informed in a statement by Matteo Bruni, director of the Holy See Press Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Supreme Pontiff will have to stay a few days in the hospital. “In recent days, Pope Francis complained of some respiratory difficulties and this afternoon he went to the A. Gemelli Polyclinic for medical check-ups,” Bruni said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The test result showed \u201ca respiratory infection (excluding COVID-19 infection) that will require a few days of appropriate hospital medical therapy. Pope Francis is moved by the many messages received and expresses his gratitude for the closeness and prayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
