{"id":1924,"date":"2023-05-05T23:36:48","date_gmt":"2023-05-06T03:36:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.radiorebelde.cu\/english\/?p=1924"},"modified":"2023-05-05T23:36:59","modified_gmt":"2023-05-06T03:36:59","slug":"raul-castro-and-diaz-canel-lead-may-day-rally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.radiorebelde.cu\/english\/raul-castro-and-diaz-canel-lead-may-day-rally-05052023\/","title":{"rendered":"Raul Castro and Diaz-Canel lead May Day rally"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The leader of the Revolution, Ra\u00fal Castro, and the President of Cuba, Miguel D\u00edaz-Canel, lead the workers&#8217; rally in this capital to commemorate May 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thousands of representatives of the working class of the Caribbean nation gathered on Havana&#8217;s Malecon to celebrate International Workers&#8217; Day, in an activity that was moved due to weather conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously, the traditional parade held at the Jos\u00e9 Mart\u00ed Revolution Square on that date was changed to a rally, due to the difficulties faced by the island with the supply of fuel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All over the country, rallies and parades are also being held this Friday in the main squares of the territories, under the slogan A la Patria manos y coraz\u00f3n (To the Homeland, hands and heart).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The May 1st activities have been carried out since the end of April, with volunteer work, scientific workshops, talks, events and awards ceremonies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than a thousand guests from trade union movements around the world and other organizations attended these celebrations and participated in actions in communities in Havana and other provinces.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The leader of the Revolution, Ra&uacute;l Castro, and the President of Cuba, Miguel D&iacute;az-Canel, lead the workers&rsquo; rally in this capital to commemorate May 1.
