The Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Faisal Al-Mekdad, expressed his country’s support for Cuba and its repudiation of the United States economic, commercial and financial blockade on Cuba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This position of the head of Syrian diplomacy was expressed in a message sent to his Cuban counterpart Bruno Rodr\u00edguez Parrilla, on the occasion of the fifty-eighth anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his letter, Al-Mekdad also stressed that since the establishment of these relations, the two friendly countries and peoples maintain solid and fruitful ties. He reiterated Damascus’ desire to continue working tirelessly with a view to strengthening bilateral relations in all fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
