Manuel Marrero Cruz, Cuba’s Prime Minister, expressed his sorrow, through his X account, as he remembered today the four combatants who were victims of the Crime of Tarar\u00e1 in 1992.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The head of government expressed his sorrow when recalling that tragic event that took place on January 9, 1992, where the lives of 4 members of the Ministry of the Interior (Minint) were blinded while trying to prevent an illegal exit through Tarar\u00e1, protecting the Cuban coasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the same social network, the Minint paid tribute to Orosm\u00e1n Due\u00f1as, Yuri G\u00f3mez and Rafael Guevara, killed in the action, as well as Rolando P\u00e9rez Quintosa who died days later from the injuries caused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the purpose of reaching U.S. shores and to take advantage of the Cuban Adjustment Act, 7 assailants broke into the Tarar\u00e1 Nautical Base, on the Havana coast, causing the death of soldier Orosm\u00e1n Due\u00f1as Valero, of the Border Guard Troops, third sergeant Yuri G\u00f3mez Reinoso, of the National Revolutionary Police, and custodian Rafael Guevara Borges, who were treacherously attacked and riddled with bullets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the action, First Sergeant Rolando P\u00e9rez Quintosa, an agent of the PNR, was wounded and died after 37 days fighting for his life due to bullet wounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
