The prima ballerina and general director of the National Ballet of Cuba, Viengsay Vald\u00e9s, and the principal dancer \u00c1nyelo Montero, will perform on March 24 at the Grand Gala at the Grosetto Modern Theater, Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Cuban dancers will perform selections from the ballet Carmen, by Alberto Alonso, and a pas de deux from Love Fear Loss<\/em>, where they will be accompanied by the Cuban pianist Marcos Madrigal. In addition to offering her art as a dancer, Viengsay Vald\u00e9s will teach a master class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The gala will be attended by Fumi Kaneko and Vadim Muntagirov, leading figures of the Royal Ballet of London; Elisa Carrillo Cabrera and Mikhail Kaniski, from the Berlin State Opera Ballet; and Maia Makhateli, from the Holland National Ballet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Grand Gala will be a classical and contemporary dance show conceived by professor D\u00e9bora Ferretti, director and organizer of events aimed at giving opportunities to young students. That is why several of them selected from prestigious academies in Europe and new talents from Tuscan dance schools will perform at the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For Ferretti, in her own words, Vald\u00e9s will be a special guest at the meeting.
