Cuba’s Juan Jos\u00e9 Santiesteban will go for the bronze medal in the individual event of the South American Archery Championship in Brazil on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Santiesteban could win the second medal for the island, as the trio led by Reiter Tellez won the silver medal in the recurve archery team event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To reach the bronze medal, the Cuban left Brazil’s Gustavo Paulino Dos Santos (6-2) on the road. He then defeated Colombia’s Santiago Arcila (6-4), and then in a close match in a tie-breaking arrow against Brazil’s Matheus Zwick (6-5).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the semifinals, the Colombian Jorge Enriquez had a better aim and defeated him 6-2 to advance to the championship against the Argentinean Mario Jajarabilla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
