Young Cuban dancer Rolando Manuel Di\u00e9guez, a second-year student at the Acosta Danza Academy, is in Switzerland to compete in the Prix de Lausanne, a prestigious competition for ballet students held annually between February 2 and 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the Facebook page of the Acosta Dance Academy, created and led by the renowned Cuban dancer Carlos Acosta, Di\u00e9guez will be a part of the Choreographic Project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project invites the schools affiliated with the Prix to send their top students to make up a temporary company and collaborate on creating a performance for the public in Lausanne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year’s production will feature 26 students, with renowned American choreographer Jessica Lang leading the way and supported by choreographer Kanji Segawa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
