The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel D\u00edaz-Canel thanked his counterpart from Mexico, Andr\u00e9s Manuel L\u00f3pez Obrador (AMLO), for his rejection of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I already told you how much Cuba loves you, dear brother. Today it is you who tells us, once again, how much you love and defend Cuba, in deed and word. Thank you,” the Cuban leader said on Twitter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his message, D\u00edaz-Canel shared a video with L\u00f3pez Obrador’s intervention in the morning press conference on Monday, in which he reiterates his condemnation of that unilateral policy. “It is important that this is treated as a fundamental human rights issue because it is undoubtedly a violation, no one can encircle, blockade, a people for political and ideological reasons, it is inhumane,” said the Mexican head of state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
