The UN children\u2019s agency (UNICEF) says it has almost reached its target of immunizing children in Gaza against polio. \u201cMore than 586,000 children in Gaza \u2014 99% of our target \u2014 have been vaccinated against polio in just four days,\u201d UNICEF said in a post on X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The post described the latest drive as a \u201chuge accomplishment\u201d for teams from UNICEF, the World Health Organization, the Palestinian Ministry of Health and UNRWA who helped bring the booster doses to children across Gaza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
