Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodr\u00edguez conveyed to the Secretary General of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), Noem\u00ed Espinoza, his country’s commitment to continue supporting the organization’s revitalization process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the exchange, the Cuban foreign minister also expressed the nation’s support for mobilizing resources for regional cooperation projects, the Foreign Minister reported on his X account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I met with the Secretary General of the Association of Caribbean States, Noem\u00ed Espinoza, to whom I conveyed #Cuba’s commitment to continue supporting the organization’s revitalization process and mobilizing resources for regional cooperation projects.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Jos\u00e9 Carlos Rodr\u00edguez, Deputy Director General for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting, the ACS official met with Josefina Vidal, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, in which they reaffirmed Cuba’s and the ACS’s commitment to regional development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Welcome to Cuba! This will be an excellent opportunity to continue consolidating our ties with the ACS,” the Deputy Minister expressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Espinoza visited the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment this Thursday, where she recognized Cuba’s regional scientific and technical role in environmental strategies, including coastal protection and beach restoration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Established on July 24, 1994, the ACS is an organization for consultation, cooperation, and concerted action, with a current focus on trade, transportation, sustainable tourism, and natural disasters; in addition to a strong interest in the preservation of the Caribbean Sea, seen as the principal heritage of the peoples of that vast area.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
