Russia will provide funding for investment projects in Cuba, amounting to one billion dollars, as announced by Dmitry Chernyshenko, deputy prime minister of the Russian cabinet, during a conversation with the Cuban media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This conversation took place shortly after the conclusion of the official Russia-Cuba talks held in the Kremlin on May seven, chaired by Presidents Vladimir Putin and Miguel D\u00edaz-Canel Berm\u00fadez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Chernyshenko, the two nations have achieved a remarkable level of collaboration and mutual understanding, thanks to their unwavering efforts over the past eight years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He highlighted that Russia has developed a modern framework that provides opportunities for domestic entrepreneurs to contribute to the Cuban economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this regard, he mentioned a special document signed in 2023, known as the 2030 Plan, outlining the commitment of Russian companies and entrepreneurs to invest over a billion dollars into the Cuban economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chernyshenko also stated that during the official discussions, President Putin emphasized the implementation of a special mechanism to provide financial assistance to Russian entrepreneurs, enabling them to invest in the Cuban economy in areas of utmost importance, such as energy supply, agriculture, and lighting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the other hand, the Russian official referred to tourism among the fields of cooperation between both countries, citing the natural beauty and the allure of Cuba\u2019s beaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this context, he stated Russia\u2019s goal of becoming the country with the most presence of tourists in the Cuban market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
