The Cuban Minister of Communications, Mayra Arevich, discussed the priorities of her nation as a member of the BRICS in an interview with the international network TVBrics in Russia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The minister is leading the Cuban delegation at the Innovations and Services Fair and at the Digital Forum, which have been taking place since June 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Arevich, the collaboration with the BRICS provides Cuba with new opportunities in the areas of science, technology, and international collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She also mentioned that Cuba was granted the status of a BRICS partner nation in 2024, and since then, it has been actively pursuing joint projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, she noted that the association has elevated the status of the Havana Science and Technology Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Cuban official emphasized that the island is dedicated not only to technological advancements, but also to social progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In her opinion, Cuban president Miguel D\u00edaz-Canel has emphasized three crucial areas \u2013 online work, promotion of social initiatives, and enhancement of educational standards, particularly in the realm of modern information technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
