The Israeli regime has destroyed vast stockpiles of essential supplies meant for Gaza, including food and medicine, as the UN agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA) warns that mass starvation in the strip is “deliberate.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation (KAN) reported that the Israeli military has destroyed tens of thousands of relief packages, including significant amounts of food and medicine, meant for the starving people of Gaza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Citing Israeli military sources, the broadcaster said that over 1,000 truckloads of humanitarian aid were deliberately destroyed. \u201cThere are thousands of parcels left under the sun, and if they are not transported to Gaza, we will be forced to destroy them,\u201d the sources said, as the occupying regime has blocked the entry of all humanitarian aid into Gaza since March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Amid worldwide condemnation of the weaponization of food in Gaza, the Israeli regime claimed the destruction was due to alleged failures in the \u201caid distribution mechanism\u201d within the strip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Israel has bypassed a UN-led aid system and backed the US-led Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), slammed by the UN agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA) as a \u201cflawed distribution system.\u201d The UN agency on Friday said the Israeli- and U.S.-backed aid distribution mechanism GHF \u201cis not designed to address the humanitarian crisis,\u201d emphasizing that it \u201cis serving military and political objectives.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s cruel as it takes more lives than it saves lives,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Tuesday, the UN human rights office said Israeli forces have killed more than 1,000 Palestinian aid seekers in Gaza since May, mostly near sites run by the GHF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The UNRWA noted that under the scheme, Israel controls \u201call aspects of humanitarian access, whether outside or within Gaza\u201d, stressing that Gaza faces \u201ca constructed and deliberate mass starvation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cToday, more children died, their bodies emaciated by hunger.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
UNRWA stated that during a previous ceasefire in 2025, which began in January and was later broken by Israel in March, it had managed to \u201creverse the deepening hunger.\u201d \u201cToday, UNRWA alone has the equivalent of 6,000 trucks of food and medical assistance stuck in Egypt and Jordan,\u201d the agency said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Health Ministry in Gaza reported that over 120 people, mostly children, died from starvation-related causes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
