The President of Venezuela, Nicol\u00e1s Maduro, commemorated on Monday, the thirteenth anniversary of the \u201cGolpe de Tim\u00f3n\u201d speech by Commander Hugo Ch\u00e1vez (1954-2013), reaffirming the validity of his legacy and the mandate of \u201cCommune or Nothing!\u201d as a route for the construction of the new society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through his account on the social network Telegram, the president said that \u201cthe validity of the dreams, the theory and the guidelines that Commander Chavez left us are undeniable.\u201d He recalled the moment when Ch\u00e1vez entrusted him with a crucial mission: \u201cNicol\u00e1s, I entrust you to the communes as my own life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maduro described that gesture as an act of deep education and supreme confidence that marked the course of the country. \u201cThe Commander sowed the idea of People\u2019s Power, of empowerment; and turned our innate rebellion against imperialism into a creative and emancipatory force,\u201d said the president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this sense, he emphasized that the mandate \u201cCommune or Nothing!\u201d represents the unavoidable horizon for the construction of a new civilization, profoundly human and anchored in the values of Venezuelan roots, which requires permanent criticism and self-criticism to solve the problems of the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The head of state maintained that the Rudder Coup is the masterful route to build participatory and protagonist democracy, a political model of the 21st century that \u201cburied the failed and exhausted bourgeois democracy of elites.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the message, accompanied by audiovisual material, Commander Ch\u00e1vez himself is heard expressing: \u201cWe have to territorialize the models in the face of the complexity of the challenge (\u2026) See each other\u2019s faces! Look into each other\u2019s eyes! Nicol\u00e1s, I entrust this to you as I would entrust my life to you: the Communes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the commemorative day, the Government and the People\u2019s Power are delivering this Monday 20,000 works arising from the popular consultation, which will benefit thousands of people in the most humble communities throughout the country, following the legacy of the supreme leader of the Bolivarian Revolution Hugo Rafael Ch\u00e1vez Fr\u00edas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
