The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) condemned what it called a recent \u201coffensive escalation\u201d of hostile and provocative rhetoric by spokespersons for the US government directed at Venezuela.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a statement, the regional bloc said those making such statements are \u201cfigures who have lost credibility and possess no moral authority,\u201d accusing them of relying on \u201clies and absurd arguments to fabricate a scenario our peoples know all too well.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ALBA warned that if Washington intensifies its pressure campaign into \u201creckless military aggression\u201d against a sovereign nation, the entire Caribbean basin would be pushed into \u201cunprecedented turmoil.\u201d Any attempt to impose force, it added, would immediately threaten political, economic, and social stability across Latin America and the Caribbean. The alliance reiterated that the region \u201cmust remain a zone of peace.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
US \u2018recycling interventionist agenda\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the statement, the US is not defending democratic principles, but once again \u201crecycling the same interventionist agenda rooted in the Monroe Doctrine.\u201d It accused Washington of seeking to revive \u201can oligarchic political class defeated by the Venezuelan people and rejected by the region,\u201d adding that similar attempts \u201chave failed before and will fail again.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ALBA stressed that the peoples of Latin America \u201cwill not be deceived by empty threats or vile rhetoric,\u201d urging all powers to stop undermining regional peace or underestimating public consciousness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The alliance expressed its full support for Venezuela\u2019s government and people, rejecting what it described as a new campaign of media aggression and disinformation reflecting \u201conly the political decay of those behind it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The United States has launched a new military campaign in Latin America, dubbed Operation Southern Spear, under the pretext of the Trump administration\u2019s \u201cwar on drugs\u201d, which has so far yielded fatal operations and skyrocketing tensions amid the growing militarization of the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth revealed that, under President Donald Trump\u2019s directive, the Pentagon launched the operation, claiming it would \u201csecure our Homeland from the drugs that are killing our people.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Southern Command had initially introduced Operation Southern Spear in January, outlining the use of advanced technologies, including long-dwell robotic surface vessels, small robotic interceptor boats, and vertical take-off and landing robotic air units to support counter-narcotics efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
