The Italy-Cuba Friendship Association (ANAIC) highlighted the participation of hundreds of people in the event, organized by the local chapter of the organization in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, to reaffirm its solidarity with the Caribbean nation in the face of the complex situation it is facing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Walter Persello, secretary of the ANAIC chapter in Pordenone, emphasized the importance of increasing aid to the island at this time, when natural disasters are compounded by serious power problems and a complex economic situation, due to the criminal blockade imposed by the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ANAIC President Marco Papacci, in turn, expressed his gratitude for the broad participation in this new initiative, \u201cessential for strengthening the friendship with the Cuban people.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Papacci underscored, \u201cCuba\u2019s great dignity and extraordinary capacity for resilience,\u201d which for more than 60 years has faced \u201can unjust, anachronistic, and inhumane blockade, which affects people\u2019s daily lives, health, energy, schools, food, and life itself.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
