Last night, the forum\u2019s organizers confirmed that the Blue Zone, the central area for negotiations, reopened at 8:40 p.m. local time, after a safety inspection by the Fire Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The area remained closed for approximately six hours due to the fire that impacted the Countries Pavilion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to a press release, emergency responders assessed the structure and determined that the area was safe for the resumption of activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Brazilian government has restored operations at the site, obtained a new operating permit, and returned the space to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
