Venezuela\u2019s Acting President Denounces Kidnapping and Reaffirms National Sovereignty<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\nDuring the visit, Rodr\u00edguez announced that a seven-day national mourning period would be declared in honor of the victims of the \u201cU.S. aggression\u201d against Venezuela. \u201cStop the harassment of Venezuela, stop the aggression against the people of Bol\u00edvar,\u201d she declared, while recalling that she swore her oath of office \u201cwith pain, but also with honor, the honor that comes from being Venezuelan, from representing the interests of this nation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI swore to give no rest until our homeland is consolidated on a path of peace,\u201d stated the acting president, emphasizing that \u201cthere is a constitutional government\u201d and that \u201cthe people govern here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In that regard, she underscored the existence of a \u201cconsolidated political power\u201d based on People\u2019s Power, which she defined as \u201cthe insurmountable barrier against the unilateral armed aggression\u201d denounced before the UN Security Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rodr\u00edguez emphasized three fundamental rights: \u201cThe right to peace, the right to the homeland, the right to national independence, the right to the future, to social happiness, and to prosperity.\u201d Furthermore, she called for national unity to \u201cdefend our history and our dignity\u201d against what she described as \u201cinternational illegality.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the community level, the acting president personally inspected the progress of projects approved through National Popular Consultations, including the provision of 150- and 200-liter water tanks, roof replacements, and the construction of a new Community Gymnasium, spearheaded by local youth. These efforts benefit the 12,813 residents of the commune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She also highlighted the operation of the Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Ribas Textile Factory, which produces school uniforms for more than 15 educational centers, and the \u201cA New Dawn\u201d production unit, dedicated to manufacturing cleaning supplies to combat shortages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, she spoke with community spokespeople such as Geovanny Rojas (textile management), Belkys Morales (Bodega Plan serving 860 families), and Carlos Carrera (Water Treatment Plant benefiting more than 2,600 families).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
