Cuban President Miguel D\u00edaz-Canel on Friday exposed the fascist, criminal, and genocidal nature of the US administration, following the executive order issued by the magnate in the White House that escalates the blockade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On his Twitter account, the Cuban leader criticized President Trump, saying that under a mendacious and baseless pretext, \u201csold by those who make politics and enrich themselves at the expense of our people\u2019s suffering,\u201d he continues his supposed policy of \u201cstrangling the Cuban economy by imposing tariffs on countries that sovereignly trade oil with Cuba.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

D\u00edaz-Canel pointed out that this measure proves the brutality of the policy against Cuba, asking on social media, \u201cDidn\u2019t the Secretary of State and his cronies claim the blockade didn\u2019t exist? Where are those who bore us with their false stories about it being a simple \u2018bilateral trade embargo\u2019?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cuban head of state harshly criticized and condemned those who incite the blockade against Cuba, while exposing the true nature of the executive order by stating, \u201cThis new measure demonstrates the fascist, criminal, and genocidal nature of a cabal that has hijacked the interests of the American people for purely personal gain.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

The day before, President Donald Trump signed an executive order declaring a \u201cnational emergency\u201d regarding the island nation, through which he plans to impose tariffs on countries that sell or supply oil to Cuba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the same social media platform, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodr\u00edguez denounced the new measure. The escalation of the US blockade against the island, aimed at strangling it through energy pressure, is a stance he strongly condemned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNow they are proposing to impose a total blockade on fuel supplies to our country. To justify this, they rely on a long list of lies that attempt to portray Cuba as a threat it is not,\u201d he stated on his Twitter account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
