In recent months, we have sent aid to various countries that have required our support in the face of the fires in California and Chile, the floods in Texas, and the tragedies caused by natural disasters in several nations across the continent.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the statement, the Papaloapan is carrying essential food supplies, including liquid milk, meat products, cookies, beans, rice, canned tuna in water, sardines, and vegetable oil, as well as personal hygiene items, with a cargo of approximately 536 tons.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.radiohc.cu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/mex-3-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-35948\" style=\"width:683px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, the Isla Holbox is carrying just over 277 tons of powdered milk. The official statement adds that both ships departed from Veracruz at 8:00 a.m. (Papaloapan) and noon (Isla Holbox), and specifies that more than 1,500 tons of powdered milk and beans remain to be shipped to Cuba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With these actions, the statement notes, the Mexican government \u201creaffirms the humanist principles and solidarity that guide it, as well as its commitment to international cooperation among nations, especially with those who require humanitarian aid in situations of emergency and vulnerability.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cuba and Mexico, it concludes, \u201care sister nations, heirs to a long history of solidarity that we honor today.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IMAGE CREDIT: Loading operation of one of the ships carrying humanitarian aid to Cuba, in the port of Veracruz.
