U.S. Central Command threatened to make Iranian civilian ports ‘legitimate military targets’.

On Wednesday, Iranian forces launched a drone attack against major Israeli military and intelligence facilities.

“We launched a suicide UAV this morning toward the military intelligence directorate of the Zionist regime, known as Aman, Unit 8200, the Green Pine radar and the submarine command headquarters at the navy base in Haifa,” the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) reported.

“Aman oversees Israeli military intelligence operations, while Unit 8200 handles signals interception, cyber operations and digital surveillance,” online news site Drop Site explained.

“The Green Pine radar is part of Israel’s missile-defense system used to detect and track incoming ballistic missiles,” it added.

Meanwhile, the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that it would strike all port facilities where Iran’s navy is operating.

“Civilian ports used for military purposes lose protected status and become legitimate military targets under international law,” CENTCOM said.

“Iranian naval forces have positioned military vessels and equipment within civilian ports serving commercial maritime traffic,” it added.

In an attempt to justify this new wave of attacks against the Persian people, CENTCOM said it would take precautions to minimize harm to civilians, “although the U.S. military also cannot guarantee civilian safety” in or near the facilities to be targeted.
