Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister of the Republic, inaugurated the 44th edition of the International Tourism Fair (FitCuba 2026) on Thursday in a virtual setting and affirmed that nothing can block the beauty and hospitality of the island.
The member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba was present, along with Juan Carlos García Granda, Minister of Tourism (Mintur), at the opening of the most important professional event in the tourism industry in the country and welcomed the more than 900 participants and exhibitors.
Today and tomorrow — Thursday and Friday — the event, which includes conferences, product presentations, and customer reviews from those currently enjoying their vacations at facilities in Varadero, the renowned sun and beach resort to which FitCuba is dedicated, will be held for the first time in a virtual setting.
