Venezuelan president demands release of girl kidnapped by U.S.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro demanded has demanded the release of the two-year-old girl kidnapped by the United States government and taken from her mother, a Venezuelan citizen.

Demanding the release of the girl, as well as the Venezuelan migrants imprisoned in El Salvador, the president called for a May 1st holiday, he called for their return to their homeland: Venezuela.

“Every May 1st, the working class takes to the streets with its slogans to vindicate its struggles around the world,” said the president, emphasizing that “I will join the slogan because we have a just cause, which is the release of little Maikelys Espinoza, a two-year-old girl kidnapped by the United States government.”

In this regard, Maduro stated that “they must immediately return this girl, safe and sound. Tomorrow we will speak with one voice for the freedom and return of this little girl.”   “Furthermore, we also raise our voices for our 252 compatriots who are kidnapped in El Salvador,” he stated.

Venezuela launched a campaign on Tuesday for the return home of baby Maikelys Espinoza Bernal, who was violently separated from her mother, Yorelis Bernal, while the latter was held in a migrant detention center.
