The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, hosted a meeting with representatives of the Thai Binh group, a Vietnamese business conglomerate, as reported by the Cuban government today.
The parties assessed the possibilities for expanding business relationships, which have been sustained for more than 25 years in crucial sectors for economic and social advancement.
Thai Binh boasts a global network of over 300 suppliers, a diverse product portfolio spanning 12 categories, two manufacturing facilities, and a 20-megawatt solar energy park located in the Mariel Special Development Zone.
One of its subsidiaries, established in November 2019 by Thai Binh Global Investment Corporation, has been manufacturing disposable diapers and tampons in Cuba IN THE Mariel Zone.
Additionally, in June 2021, it launched a range of wet wipes for the domestic market.
The Caribe retail chain, CIMEX Corporation, and Caracol Trading Company are the primary customers of Thai Binh in Cuba.
