A Cuban delegation is participating in the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, taking place from August 5th thru the 8th in Awaza, Republic of Turkmenistan.
The delegation from the largest island in the Antilles is led by the Director General of Political Planning of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Luis Achkienasi Chernak, and also includes Carlos Valdés de la Concepción, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the host country, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Cuba is convinced that only by working together, with equity and respect, can the challenges faced by landlocked developing countries be transformed into opportunities, a position promoted during its Presidency of the Group of 77 and China in 2023.
