Bayern Continues to Add Points in German Football

Bayern Munich thrashed Borussia Mönchengladbach 4-1 and consolidated their position at the top of the German football league.

Goals from Colombian Luis Díaz (33rd minute) and Austrian Konrad Laimer (45+1) put the Bavarian side on course for victory in the first half.

In the second half, Jamal Musiala added a third from the penalty spot in the 57th minute, and Senegalese Nicolas Jackson completed the scoring in the 79th minute, giving Bayern 66 points, a 14-point lead at the top of the table.

The bulk of the matches will be played tomorrow, with Heidenheim facing Hoffenheim, Wolfsburg taking on Hamburg, RB Leipzig meeting Augsburg, Mainz 05 taking on Stuttgart, Freiburg meeting Bayer Leverkusen, and Köln facing Borussia Dortmund.

Matchday 25 of the Bundesliga will conclude on Sunday with St. Pauli facing Eintracht Frankfurt and Union Berlin taking on Werder Bremen.
