The Minister of Public Health of Cuba, José Angel Portal Miranda, and his counterpart from Oman, Dr. Hilal bin Ali bin Hilal Al Sabti, signed in Geneva an agreement for bilateral cooperation in the areas of health and medical sciences.
In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding, the Ministries of Health of both nations have agreed to collaborate on a program designed to enhance their respective healthcare systems.
The aim of the parties is to collaborate in a variety of fields, including academic and scientific exchange, sharing knowledge and expertise in the fight against infectious and non-infectious diseases, surgical procedures, and precision medicine.
In addition, they seek to collaborate in undergraduate and postgraduate academic training, as well as in the development of biopharmaceutical products.
