The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, participated on Friday in a solidarity mmeeting in Ciego de Ávila with members of brigades and contingents from several countries.
More than 370 friends representing 23 countries took part, organized into eight solidarity projects from Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, and the United States.
Accompanying the Cuban president and his friends from around the world were Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, and Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Also attending with the president were Emilio Ratmir Lozada García, head of the International Relations Department of the Party Central Committee; Fernando González Llort, president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP); and Julio Gómez Casanova, First Secretary of the Party in the province of Ciego de Ávila.
