The diplomat commented on the information from the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) pointing at Paris’ intention to deploy a military contingent in Ukraine.
Grushko stated, “All this information constitutes irrefutable evidence that the West, Europe, mainly through some countries’ efforts, is becoming increasingly involved in the Ukrainian conflict.”
When asked if Paris had contacted Moscow after the publication of the SVR data to offer explanations, Grushko replied: “No, we have not had any contact.”
The deputy foreign minister noted that France was the driving force behind the so-called Coalition of the Willing.
