Havana workers celebrate May Day

Havana workers celebrated this Thursday May Day at the Revolution Square, with the presence of President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and Army General Raúl Castro Ruz.

As per tradition, the date is celebrated with public gatherings across the nation, with the participation of the highest-ranking officials.

Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, General Secretary of the Central Workers Union of Cuba, emphasized that this day also marks the 25th anniversary of the declaration of the concept of Revolution by Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, which serves as a guiding principle for the activities in the country.

Foreign guests at the 43rd International Tourism Fair of Cuba, FITCuba 2025, were also present at the Havana parade.

Alongside their Cuban counterparts, they participated in the festivities as part of the delegation of employees and executives from the Ministry of Tourism.

The organizing committee of FITCuba announced that, in addition to the fair visitors, 2,200 international tourism experts also attended the event.
