Hermanos Saíz Association celebrates anniversary

Another initiative marking the date is the presentation of the 2025 Maestro de Juventudes Award, on the 22nd at Jose Marti Memorial in Havana.

The award honors the talent and dedication of those who have supported the training of new generations of artists. On this occasion, it will be received by actor Fernando Hechavarría, the director of the children’s theater company La Colmenita, singer and National Music Award winner Miriam Ramos, and singer-songwriter Amaury Perez.

Composer and National Music Prize winner Roberto Valera, researcher and National Social Sciences Prize winner Isabel Monal, writer and journalist Maria Elena Llana, visual artist and National Plastic Arts Prize winner Rafael Zarza, musician Rafael Lay, director of the Teatro Andante de Granma group Juan Gonzalez, and film critic, researcher, and historian Luciano Castillo will join the program.

The program also includes the awarding of the Honorary Membership of the AHS and the Replica of the Saiz Brothers Monument, as well as the welcoming of new members in each of the provinces.

The concert held in August at the National Museum of Fine Arts and a documentary will be premiered on digital and television platforms in the context of the Cubania Festival in Bayamo.

Significant is the holding of the National Council, from the 28th to the 31st of this month in the capital, and the production of video clips and audiovisuals honoring renowned creators and the martyrs Luis and Sergio Saíz.

This October 18th, the AHS celebrates another anniversary, committed to the work of its members: young writers, artists, intellectuals, and promoters from all over Cuba.
