Prensa Latina and AKP highlight positive collaboration

First established in 2012 and renewed in October 2022 with a shared commitment to upholding the truth through the timely and objective dissemination of information about their respective nations, the value of these ties was underscored by AKP Director General Nimul Sokmom and Cuban Ambassador to Cambodia, Milena Zaldivar.

Sokmom noted in a cordial meeting that since the renewal of the cooperation agreement, AKP has published more than 500 news reports about Cuba in English, Khmer, and French.

She stated that this cooperation with Prensa Latina has also made it possible to highlight the achievements of the Cuban people, their example of resilience, and their unwavering solidarity.

The Cuban ambassador, in turn, described the relationship between these two important news outlets as an essential link in strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Cuba and Cambodia.

Zaldivar also praised the AKP’s sustained coverage of the just causes of the Cuban people, particularly its denunciation of the tightened economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States government on Cuba and maintained for more than six decades.
